Camp Days: JULY 14 - JULY 18

8:30 AM - 4:00 PM CST

CAMP OFFERING PLAN:

  • On-Ice Training: A minimum of 2 hours of on-ice training each day, focusing on skill development and game strategy.

  • Nutrition: Balanced snacks and meals curated by a professional nutritionist to support optimal performance and health. Players will also receive informative nutrition packets to guide their diet.

  • Off-Ice Training: Hockey-specific off-ice workouts designed to enhance strength, agility, and conditioning. Progress will be tracked through off-ice testing to monitor improvement over time.

  • Recovery: Post-session recovery strategies to aid in muscle repair and overall well-being, following both on-ice and off-ice activities.

  • Leadership Training: Buddy systems with pairing of older kids with younger kids will prepare them for leadership. A great hockey player needs all around ability, not just hockey sense and skills on the ice and we will help your daughters develop respect for all, show leadership skills, as well as gain skills on the ice. According to the widely cited "Learning Pyramid" concept, people typically remember around 10% of what they read, 20% of what they hear, and 90% of what they teach others; meaning that actively teaching information leads to the highest retention rate and we will urge your daughter to become a teacher throughout our camp.

Players should expect individual growth and development through intense training sessions on and off the ice, while fostering leadership skills that will make them an asset wherever they go.

JERSEYS INCLUDED

A well balanced lunch and snacks will be provided each day. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions/allergies that your daughter may have.

WE GO BEYOND THE RINK

To play at the highest level, you need to have athletic abilities, as well as other skills that can help you succeed on the ice and in life:

Athletic abilities: These include strength, power, endurance, speed, agility, stamina, balance, and flexibility. College coaches evaluate recruits based on their athletic abilities and whether they can improve the team.

Teamwork: The ability to work with others and appreciate how different skills contribute to a common goal.

Leadership: The ability to influence and guide others, make tough decisions, and inspire and motivate your teammates.

Time management: An important skill for university athletes who want to maintain their academic grades.

Communication: The ability to speak effectively and listen actively.

Critical thinking: The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Goal setting: The ability to set goals.

Performing under pressure: The ability to perform well under pressure and know the difference between fight or flight.

Other skills that can help you succeed in sports include mental toughness, enthusiasm, concentration, decision-making, and dedication.  Raising daughters to become well-rounded athletes and individuals is a rewarding and fulfilling journey. It involves nurturing qualities that extend beyond physical prowess, including mental resilience, teamwork, and personal growth and B&G is committed to helping your daughters reach their full potential and above!
